Straight off the price at the dealership. No income cap, no tax form, no waiting for a refund.
The MSRP cap is waived for California-headquartered manufacturers — Rivian and Lucid qualify at any price. Hybrids and plug-in hybrids are not eligible. Vehicles over 8,500 lbs curb weight are excluded.
MyFirstEV covers battery-electric and hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles only. These are the zero-emission model families at each of our rooftops. The manufacturer decides which individual trims are enrolled and each has its own $50,000 cap test, so confirm the exact configuration with the store before you count on the rebate.
Model families only — this is not a list of cars in stock, and no price is quoted. Eligibility depends on the exact trim being enrolled by the manufacturer, on that trim clearing the price cap, and on funds remaining for the brand. For live availability, call the store.
“First-time buyer” means your first zero-emission vehicle — not your first car. If you have previously owned or leased an EV, you are not eligible.
There is no minimum period you must keep the vehicle. Each person is limited to one incentive for the lifetime of the program.
Launch timing verified by us against CARB’s published list as of August 10, 2026. A month that has arrived shows as expected rather than live until the manufacturer confirms activation — each automaker publishes its own eligible models and trims. For the authoritative list, use CARB’s own page. Our CDJR stores are not part of MyFirstEV — Stellantis is not a participating manufacturer.
California has not published a complete MyFirstEV stacking policy. Guidance from CARB and from program administrators currently conflicts, so treat the two income-qualified programs below as unconfirmed until CARB says otherwise.
If you are income-eligible for DCAP or Clean Cars 4 All, compare them against MyFirstEV first — they can be worth more. Utility and local rebates are separate from state programs and are generally still available.
Send customers here and this page walks them through the form, the confirmation number, and what to bring you. Say the URL out loud, text it, or drop it in your signature.
MyFirstEV is administered by the California Air Resources Board. Future Bay Area is not the program administrator and does not determine eligibility. Program terms, participating brands, eligible models and trims, funding availability and launch dates are set by CARB and by each manufacturer and are subject to change without notice. Rebate amounts are applied at the point of sale by participating manufacturers and require a valid CARB confirmation number provided by the customer before the transaction is finalized. Eligibility is confirmed through a self-attestation form signed by the customer under penalty of perjury; dealership personnel cannot complete or advise on that form. Model families shown are not an inventory listing and no price is quoted on this page. Details here are summarized from CARB program materials current as of August 10, 2026 — see ww2.arb.ca.gov/myfirstev for the authoritative terms.
