$3,500 off your first electric vehicle in California.

Straight off the price at the dealership. No income cap, no tax form, no waiting for a refund.

No manufacturer has confirmed activation yet — CARB lists our brands as launching August 2026. Check with the store before you count on it. First-come, first-served per brand until funding runs out.
What you need

From youThat this is genuinely your first EV — ever
We record the number on the deal. We can’t get it for you.

What the rebate is worth

New ZEV
$3,500
Battery-electric or hydrogen fuel-cell, model year 2026 or newer, MSRP at or under $50,000. Buying and leasing both count.
Used ZEV
$1,750
Sale price at or under $25,000, through a participating manufacturer’s certified pre-owned program. Must be at least two model years older at sale.

The MSRP cap is waived for California-headquartered manufacturers — Rivian and Lucid qualify at any price. Hybrids and plug-in hybrids are not eligible. Vehicles over 8,500 lbs curb weight are excluded.

How it works

Three steps, and one number to bring us.

Check your brand is live

Each automaker enrolls its own models and trims, and brands go live on different dates. A vehicle under the price cap is not automatically covered.
CARB publishes the list

Complete the attestation

You confirm this is your first EV purchase or lease. The form is signed under penalty of perjury and goes directly to CARB — not to us. CARB returns a confirmation number.
You submit it yourself

Bring us the number

Give it to your sales or finance contact before the paperwork is finalized. We record it on the deal and the rebate comes off the price.
Before signing
Answer the attestation yourself. Our staff can point you to the attestation form and explain the program, but we cannot advise you on how to answer it. If you are unsure whether you qualify, CARB’s FAQ is the authority — read the MyFirstEV FAQ.
Which cars it applies to

The electrics we sell, store by store.

MyFirstEV covers battery-electric and hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles only. These are the zero-emission model families at each of our rooftops. The manufacturer decides which individual trims are enrolled and each has its own $50,000 cap test, so confirm the exact configuration with the store before you count on the rebate.

Future Lincoln of Concord

Lincoln

Not listed
No zero-emission model in this lineup.
Lincoln is not on CARB's published manufacturer list, and the current lineup is gas, hybrid and plug-in hybrid only. Hybrids and PHEVs do not qualify for MyFirstEV.
Future CDJR Concord

CDJR

Not participating
No zero-emission model in this lineup.
Stellantis is not a participating manufacturer, so Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles cannot carry the MyFirstEV rebate.
Future CDJR Fairfield

CDJR

No zero-emission model in this lineup.
Stellantis is not a participating manufacturer, so Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles cannot carry the MyFirstEV rebate.

Model families only — this is not a list of cars in stock, and no price is quoted. Eligibility depends on the exact trim being enrolled by the manufacturer, on that trim clearing the price cap, and on funds remaining for the brand. For live availability, call the store.

Eligibility

Who qualifies

“First-time buyer” means your first zero-emission vehicle — not your first car. If you have previously owned or leased an EV, you are not eligible.

  • This is the first zero-emission vehicle you have bought or leased
  • You are a California resident and the vehicle will be registered in California
  • The vehicle is battery-electric or hydrogen fuel-cell
  • New: model year 2026 or newer, MSRP at or under $50,000
  • Used: sale price at or under $25,000, through a manufacturer CPO program
  • The brand has activated the program and still has funds available
  • Hybrids and plug-in hybrids do not qualify
  • Vehicles over 8,500 lbs curb weight are excluded
  • Cannot be delivered or registered outside California

There is no minimum period you must keep the vehicle. Each person is limited to one incentive for the lifetime of the program.

Participating brands

Not every brand is live yet.

Launch timing verified by us against CARB’s published list as of August 10, 2026. A month that has arrived shows as expected rather than live until the manufacturer confirms activation — each automaker publishes its own eligible models and trims. For the authoritative list, use CARB’s own page. Our CDJR stores are not part of MyFirstEV — Stellantis is not a participating manufacturer.

Combining programs

Stacking rules are still being finalized.

California has not published a complete MyFirstEV stacking policy. Guidance from CARB and from program administrators currently conflicts, so treat the two income-qualified programs below as unconfirmed until CARB says otherwise.

Driving Clean Assistance Program

Unconfirmed
The current DCAP FAQ states it cannot be stacked with another CARB-funded program. Assume the combination is not allowed unless CARB creates a specific exception.

Clean Cars 4 All

Unconfirmed
Existing CC4A guidance generally permits some utility and local rebates but restricts overlapping CARB vehicle-purchase programs.

If you are income-eligible for DCAP or Clean Cars 4 All, compare them against MyFirstEV first — they can be worth more. Utility and local rebates are separate from state programs and are generally still available.

MyFirstEV is administered by the California Air Resources Board. Future Bay Area is not the program administrator and does not determine eligibility. Program terms, participating brands, eligible models and trims, funding availability and launch dates are set by CARB and by each manufacturer and are subject to change without notice. Rebate amounts are applied at the point of sale by participating manufacturers and require a valid CARB confirmation number provided by the customer before the transaction is finalized. Eligibility is confirmed through a self-attestation form signed by the customer under penalty of perjury; dealership personnel cannot complete or advise on that form. Model families shown are not an inventory listing and no price is quoted on this page. Details here are summarized from CARB program materials current as of August 10, 2026 — see ww2.arb.ca.gov/myfirstev for the authoritative terms.
